February catch up

Well February was a short month and I was not into blogging much. So here is a wrap up. The first day of February my Dad turned 64! Happy birthday to my Daddy! the second week I went to my bi annual meetings for work
here is my team.

During the conference I started to get really irritated eyes that looked like this
I had something really similar but not as severe after we got back from Prague. I figured it was just wind chapped after Prague but this was not comfortable so I went to the insta-care where the Dr said it looked like a chemical burn. Note to self never use the nutregena brand eye make up removers again.

The last day of my meetings is always graduation. I had 4 studentscome to graduation, by far the most fun part of the meetings and what brings me the most satisfaction in my job.

After graduation I got to shoot Grayson for his 4th birthday

The Saturday before Valentines we went out because I had to work on valentines day. We went to Corbins a steakhouse in Layton.. it was wonderful. Valentines it's self was fun. Wade and I ate a heart shaped meal inspired from this blogpost on ourbestbites. (love this cooking website) Mine was not so pretty however we had a good time.

Not the best picture but this was us after we went to dinner at Corbins.

After that I kinda got the crafty bug and began working on this bedroom set. I never really liked the color and this has been a lot less costly for me than buying a new set altogether. I finished the nightstand last week. I am working on the dresser right now and will post more later.

Which way should I have the drawers? What do you think? Does it look better?

Last Saturday I tamed Tom's head with a hair cut

And....Finally last Sunday we had a wonderful impromptu birthday for mr TRH. He turned 1 at the end of February. You may remember him from this shoot or this shoot when he was a newborn. I am so glad we all got together, it is always nice to have family around.

and here is Dex looking so cute and grown up! Speaking of being grown up... Ronelle and Steve grossing everyone out.. I love dexters face in the last picture...

last days in Prague

On the second to last day on our trip we played catch up. We went on a walk to go see some ruins... it was bitterly cold however it was one of the prettiest days we were there. See the beautiful sunrise? You can see the ruins on the hill in the lower left hand side.

It was so cold that day that both Amy and I wrapped our heads with our scarfs and Dusty agreed to used my hat. I got frost nipped on my eyes.

Can you find Amy in this group of tourists? This was the game we played much of the trip =)
Really?.. what is going on with this lady. This is at the changing of the guards at the castle.

View from the cathedral tower. Yep this scarred me. I have a fear of heights and Wade and co. talked me into going up there. It was beautiful but really high.

At the end of the day we went to this awesome pizza place, the Jewish quarter (kinda, it was closing) and then we went to a ballet of swan lake... most expensive nap ever.. I was pooped I really saw maybe 15 mins of the ballet but what I saw was good.
Our last day.... sad. In the morning we woke up early and had breakfast, I had my normal toast and nutella and a pastry, Wade had a variety of things, Amy had her sandwich and Dusty had cereal. We headed out on our walk from Moroni street down to Charles bridge and back. There was fresh snow on the ground and it was perfect.
The dancing house- they named it this because it looks like a man and woman dancing.
One last view of the castle and cathedral
The national theater

And finally.. cafe Amandine and the waitress we joked Wade had a crush on. We came to this little cafe almost everyday for pastries and hot cocoa. Our fight back was really long... or at least our day was long. We got to the airport around 9:30am and our flight left at 12. We arrived at JFK around 3:30 I think EST and our next flight boarded at 7 but we sat on the tarmac for over an hour. We got to SLC around 11pm and stopped for some in and out and then we were home. We had so much fun we are planning our next adventure already!

Day 5

We left Prague at 8 with our driver Valerie and set off for Chesky Krumlov and Cheske Bodejovice ( about an hour and a half drive) Chesky Krumlov is possibly the cutest town ever made. It has character and cute shops with beautiful color and architecture.
Enlarge this photo and look at all the beautiful snow flakes... this was some of the nicest snow I have seen.

Look I made a friend... this little guy was really sweet.

Wade was mimicking this Asian lady that was having her picture taken.. it was so funny instead of looking at the camera she kept looking up at the sky with a far off look in her eye. This view is from the castle.

Amy just having a snack!

Cheske Bodejovice unfortunately did not show as well as Chesky Krumlov. We were sad that we cut our time short there to check this city out. Not many of the tourist attractions were open so we did not get to see much of the city besides it cool square and nice pond. Maybe next time we will come in the summer and see the beautiful while castle.
