last days in Prague

On the second to last day on our trip we played catch up. We went on a walk to go see some ruins... it was bitterly cold however it was one of the prettiest days we were there. See the beautiful sunrise? You can see the ruins on the hill in the lower left hand side.

It was so cold that day that both Amy and I wrapped our heads with our scarfs and Dusty agreed to used my hat. I got frost nipped on my eyes.

Can you find Amy in this group of tourists? This was the game we played much of the trip =)
Really?.. what is going on with this lady. This is at the changing of the guards at the castle.

View from the cathedral tower. Yep this scarred me. I have a fear of heights and Wade and co. talked me into going up there. It was beautiful but really high.

At the end of the day we went to this awesome pizza place, the Jewish quarter (kinda, it was closing) and then we went to a ballet of swan lake... most expensive nap ever.. I was pooped I really saw maybe 15 mins of the ballet but what I saw was good.
Our last day.... sad. In the morning we woke up early and had breakfast, I had my normal toast and nutella and a pastry, Wade had a variety of things, Amy had her sandwich and Dusty had cereal. We headed out on our walk from Moroni street down to Charles bridge and back. There was fresh snow on the ground and it was perfect.
The dancing house- they named it this because it looks like a man and woman dancing.
One last view of the castle and cathedral
The national theater

And finally.. cafe Amandine and the waitress we joked Wade had a crush on. We came to this little cafe almost everyday for pastries and hot cocoa. Our fight back was really long... or at least our day was long. We got to the airport around 9:30am and our flight left at 12. We arrived at JFK around 3:30 I think EST and our next flight boarded at 7 but we sat on the tarmac for over an hour. We got to SLC around 11pm and stopped for some in and out and then we were home. We had so much fun we are planning our next adventure already!

  1. How fun and exciting!! I want to go back to Europe so badly. Someday... Funny about the ballet. It always sounds so glamorous, but they are long and you are exhausted--I know how that goes!
