Patio
We bought new patio furniture to spruce up out outdoor living area but we needed a coffee table. We went yard saleing and found this gem for $5 so we took it home with hopes of painting it and making it match. I still have not done the final coat of paint but here is what it looks like now.
Before After
Before After
Remember our garden? Yes it has been neglected but it is still alive and producing! If anyone needs tomatoes come on over in about a week, We are bursting here.
I have stared and finished a few projects for the baby's room all having to do with this canvas I found for $3 at the local DI thrift store.
My first project was to make these wall hangings.
I got my inspiration from THIS bedding I bought for Taylor's room.
First I sprayed them into the colors I wanted (I used old spray paint I had from other projects)
Then I took paper and covered the canvas and drew the design I wanted
Then I took strips of interfacing and copied the drawing and fused it with the fabric I wanted to use. After that I just glued it on the canvas with craft glue and I was done! I am really proud of it especially because it hardly cost me anything. I used scraps from the project below, old spray paint and $3 canvases from DI.

The final project I did was just wrap the canvas in fabric and staple it to the wood frame. Total cost around $20.
AND THEN...... was Wade's accident....read more about the ride here
Here are a few pictures from that day and the days he was in the hospital. Long story short Wade went for a ride July 30th with his friends. He was involved in a head on dive into a rock and broke his neck and back. He felt fine initially but we went to the hospital anyway and found out things were worse than we thought. He had a plate put in to stabilize his vertebrae, stayed in the ICU 2 days and the trauma unit 1 day and was released miraculously in time to see his son be born in a different hospital on August 2nd. His recovery and the fact that he is not a quadriplegic is a miracle. We honestly know that prayer works. We are so thankful for everyone's prayers on our behalf and for the outpouring of support and love and meals and yard work and visits.... the list goes on and on. We love ya all! Thank you for helping us through this crazy and amazing time.
Visits from family and an awesome poster from our niece and nephew
